Does anyone have , or know where to get a manual on a Autohelm 6000? It would be great to know how to utilize this piece of equipment. It was on the vessel when we purchased it, but no manual. thanks in advance, Sandy
I had a 600 on a previous boat and found it very easy to use. It had a wind vane installed, which we didn't use often. I really like the remote control and found that we rarely steered manually during long passages (Sydney to North Queensland, Australia). All basiscs are obvious, less obvious is the auto tack facility. Just press and hold -1 & +1 simultaneously.
I just purchased the manual for an Autohelm 5000 directly from Raytheon. I got the phone number from their website. Cost was around $15 including shipping.
