All, I've read a million posts about the autohelm engagement/disengagement issues on the AH 4000( black casing). Works fine engaged, but the belt drags over the gears when disengaged. They all seem to relate to the belt-- apparently the belt shrinks which also causes the clutch to pop out. I finally found a supplier for the belt at polytech design. Their website is:

I subsequently found the belt on the Raymarine site, but not under the original part number, D169, but under the new number 36014. There are a number on eBay as well, but I've had poor luck on eBay. Polytech is less than half the cost of Raymarine.
