Well not willing to spend money on a new autopilot when the old one was just fine, I decided on a way to fix the broken plastic posts.I got some heat shrink tubing and use this as a form for pouring a new post made out of West system epoxy. I used what was left of the post "stubs" as a support structure for the new posts. The first pour leaked out a little (by design) to create a "footer" on the plastic case. The second pour was to fill up the post to the top. Once it curred I used my trusty Dremmel to carve out the new groves in the post tops and then pre-drilled the holes. Placed the compass back on the new posts and checked for free gimbal movement.Water tested the system and it worked as good as before it broke. To the guy's who offered advise and suggestions. Thanks. If Raytheon is so bad, what is the best supplier of electrical stuff like auto pilots, gps and radar. I am thinking of upgrading my electonics and I would be interested to hear some suggestions.Rs
