Hi everyone. I recently bought a Hunter 28' equipped with an Autohelm 3000. It appears that calibration is required. I do not have the manual. Can someone give me detailed directions on doing this? I downloaded the manual, but couldn't find anything on calibration. I remember someone telling me you need to turn counterclockwise 2 revolutions (slowly) to reset it. Ring any bells?

Don't know if this will help

I can send you the part of the manual on autopilot calibration for the Raymarine ST 4000 + by fax or email. John LKYusnret2@aol.com

Your recollection is correct in that you have to do 2 revolutions counterclockwise in order to calibrate the unit. However the unit must by in calibration mode which is found by scrolling through the options by pressing the button on the unit. If you get the manual from the other person who responded you should be ok. If you don't receive it, email me at mbx@istar.ca and I will either fax or scan and email the section you need. Good luck.

old model

My Autohelm was built around 1990 and doesn't scroll. It doesn't even have a screen, just two little red lights that blink or stay solid. Does anyone now how to get this unit in to calibration mode? Thanks

AH 3000

Matt, if you have the AH 3000 wheel pilot shown in the manual that you can get from the Raymarine www site, then all the information you need is there. Basically, the only adjustments are 1) mounting position (Port vs Stbd) and 2) sea state. Mine works like a charm. Regards, Fred.
