Autohelm 1000

put 2 new deep cycle batteries on board and my old autohelm 1000 went
up in smoke, not sure why but the fuse was 10A on the line , the
autohelm manual says use 5A.

I would like to buy replacement, working, or not working for parts if
anybody has or knows where to get one.

Any chance you connected the ground and hot wires backwards? I did it with
an old VHF once and killed it. A buddy with more skill than I have was abble
to revive it. another considerstion is are the batteries in series or in
parralell. Walt

Have a backup auto helm 1000, may sell. If so it would be 250.00. V2137 Pat
