Hi Yawl, The rudder downhaul on my O'Day 20 is currently cleated to my tiller using a standard horn-type cleat. I'm thinking of changing to an automatic-release cleat (such as the Clamcleat CL257 on related link) to prevent damage to my rudder and pivots when I hit a stump or ground. Has anyone had experience (either positive or negative) with this device or ones similar to it? Happy sails *_/), MArk
