Hunter 37 cutter Blind River
Knowing that the Simrad wheel pilot is no longer available, what electronic steering systems are Hunter cutter 37 owners going to? I would like to compile data to share with the forum.

What system currently available are you using and is it serving your purposes?

Many thanks in advance for your responses.

Go below deck.

It is a shame that a good strong wheel pilot is no longer available. My ten year old Navico(Simrad) is still going strong. I was able to find a spare belt on E-Bay but have never had one break yet. Still I always recommend a below decks unit if you can afford it. The three links below are examples: Raymarine, Simrad/Robertson, and ComNav. I would choose the ComNav unit simply because I already have the ComNav instruments with central computer. See the Related Link for a great installation forum from old friend Tom.
