Anyone have auto pilot (wheel steering), on a 27. Any suggestions, concerns, reccomendations? Considering Raytheon St 4000+

Go with it

Don't even consider anything else. I've been using the older AH 4000 for over 10 years, now, on my H37C. I've had to do a minor modification on the wheel unit because it's a little light duty for my boat. But, it will be wonderful on your 27. You'll really love it. It's like having another person on board.

I installed one last year.Easy to do and works great.

Edson Pedestal Guard

Can i use a pedestal guard designed for a Edson unit on a hunter 27 with a Yacht Specialties Steering. Is it adaptable with little trouble? Or is there someone that makes a pedestal guard for the Yacht Specialties Steering. I need to mount my GPS and Auto-Pilot Raytheon 4000indicator. Anyone have a suggestion?
