A while back, I got the wheel for the Raymarine auto pilot, which I installed
Yesteday I got the fluxgate compass.
My question: where does the cable attach, and where do you instal the black round box?
Now all I need is the control display, correct?
Does anyone have a picture to see where it all goes?
Many projects this coming few months, ( a/c, convert ice box to frudge, etc), but am quite excited with my "bucket list!"
The salvage yard has really helped me in getting my H33 in shape

The fluxgate compass should be mounted as low as possible in the boat, close to the centreline and about midships. The idea here is to reduce as much as possible the effects of waves, yawing etc. Be sure it is not close to anything magnetic. The other ends of the wires attach to the black box control unit, the "brain".

Jorge:

Connecting it all up might eventually require more info than ad-hoc descriptions from us forum kindred spirits. And you will want to learn all the zillion features these things have. (Just kidding about zillions - but scores of features yes.)

Use this url to the Raymarine manual section for "legacy" autopilots. There are several pages to this url link. Choose the autopilot model you have (or are likely to have) and you'll have the manual.

Thank you so very much
I am really grateful for all the info you send
The purpose is to get this boat as nice as possible
This has been a great adventure, from knowing nothing to know a little more than that
My enthusiasm knows no bounds!

Don't forget the rudder position indicator. According to the manual, it really needs to be added.
