I installed a Standard Horizon Chartplotter last spring and connected it to the Autohelm 4000 on my 336. I also bought a SeaTalk Interface box to connect the output of the Autohelm TriData and Wind Instrument Units. The latter interface works great, I can display any info on the SeaTalk bus on my Chartplotter, however the Chartplotter/AutoPilot (Autohelm 4000) interface does not seem to work. Has anyone successfuly interfaced an Autohelm 4000 with a Chartplotter (other than a Raymarine product)? I'm wondering if this interface would work if I connected the chartplotter with the Autohelm interface box and then connected the interface box and the Autopilot (so the Autopilot would receive 'SeaTalk data' rather than NMEA?

Successful Interface

I have successfully connected a Lowrance GlobalMap 3000MT GPS via NMEA to my Autohelm(Raymarine)ST-4000Plus, MKII. I found that the autopilot was looking for 4800 baud data rate coming from the GPS' NMEA port. Works like a champ!
