I am wondering what have been the best ways to attach PLBs, whistle and mirrors to PFDs like Mustangs 3183 and 3184 so they are available when PFD inflates but not in the way when worn. Can't find much info when I do searches. Thanks

My whistle and strobe are attached with line lanyards. They are loops which are just looped thru itself.
They are a PITA when I'm not drowning as they get caught on everything and I set the strobe off every time something metal touches the contacts (You wouldn't believe how often that can be). No one likes it when their night vision is ruined this way.
I haven't figured out a way to do it better.

I just rearmed my Mustang auto-inflater, and there was an extra CO2 cylinder in a pocket on the opposite side from the working cylinder and trigger. Looked like a good place to park a whistle, and maybe a strobe, once the cylinder is removed. I don't even know why there's an extra cylinder in there, as it's the bobbins that need to be replaced on a regular basis, not the cylinder.
