Hi there These discussions are great and have helped me with a number of uncertainties Now here is another The metal bracket on my 216 which holds the plastic closure to the cabin has come adrift and I need to fix it. Presumable I can do this with screws rather than the rivets they used, What I want to know is what is the strongest way to attach fittings internally in the cabin area. If with screws what length as I do not want to break an outer skin, should I screw directly into the foam, use a rawlplug, or any other suggestions. I also wish to attach hookc to hang life jackets and sail bags etc. Would I be best to fix a wooden batten to the sides of the cabin and then attach the hooks to it

3M has a fix

Try the office supply store, or local K-Mart for the temporary hooks 3M makes that are attache d with a double sided foam tape. I have 4 mounted no the cuddy walls holding lines, etc.. Important to clean bonding area with alcohol to remove surface contaminants before bonding. They can be ealisy removed and repositioned. No danger of drilling thru.
