I NEED TO KNOW IF I CREATE PROBLEMS BY DISMOUNTING THE ENTIRE WATER PUMP FROM MY  RAW WATER COOLED AT-4 MOTOR. YOU KNOW, WITH  THE GEARS OR WHATEVER LIVES IN THAT BUSTLE THAT STICKS OUT OF THE STBD SIDE OF THE MOTOR AND DRIVES THE PUMP AND THE ALTERNATOR.

You can pull the impeller shaft right out with the impellor attached and you will have no problems with any type of alignment. I have done it a few times. It makes changing the impellor easier.
