I'm looking into adding an asymmetric spinnaker. For those 310 owners who run one, where do you tack yours? Do you put a fair lead on the anchor roller bail and run it back to a bow cleat?

If so, what part(s) did you obtain to put a fair lead on the bail? Please post pictures.

Agree that roller would be nice, it is going to be a sock, at least for a few seasons.

That being said, I see you are tacked to the bail. Is that the approved or universal solution?

The anchor bail and the foresail mast bail or crane was designed and tested

under load in real sailing conditions not at the dock.

The results are shown in photos.

No problems or worse for wear last five years with this setup in first reply

photos..

The method I use is approved by me only.

I tack my Asym to the bail on the anchor roller with a simple block/shackle and use braided line run back to the cockpit as the tack line. I normally pull the boom vang line out of it's clutch and run the tack line through that clutch.

Works for me.

Cheers,
Jim
