Spinnaker parts
The "tacker" is a product that is primarily intended to let symmetrical spinnakers be flown like an asym. You could use it for an asym, too.Instead of the tacker, most newer boats have a padeye on the bow to which a line is attached. The line runs up (over the bow roller) to the tack of the asym, and is terminated with a snapshackle. Find some pictures of boats flying asyms, and you'll see what I mean. The shackle should have a lanyard release so you can blow the tack prior to pulling down the sock. Some lead the tack line (the guy, I suppose) through a block on the bow back to the cockpit. I don't know why, I've just seen it done. I'm sure others will know. You're going to need some long sheets. The lazy sheet goes all the way around the bow to the clew on the working side. We had a big discussion about this a month or so ago. Start with each sheet twice the boat length and add a little more for a tail. The sheets work best when led as far aft as possible. Assuming that you don't have winches in exactly the right spot, you'll want to install blocks on the rail near the stern. The sheets are led through the blocks to the winches.
