Articulating Electrical Panel Light

My apologies if this is a dumb question or a recent repeat...

But how do you replace the bulb in that articulating light attached to the electrical panel? Can't figure out how to open it and I don't want to break it by forcing it open.

The chart lamp? Pop off the len's from the bottom to access that bulb.

It just pops off? I will try again but it didn't feel like it was going to pop off without breaking.

See photo, you just need to push one of the tabs in on either of the long sides of the light, it will pop out. (also how you change from red to clear lens)

Does anyone know the part number / link on Catalina Direct to order a replacement red lens? When I bought my boat this year the clear lens was in there and I have not run across the red lens anywhere (the prior owner did a really, really, really good job clearing out all the lazarettes and lockers). I'd love to have the red in there all the time. I tried some searches on Catalina Direct but if you don't know precisely what you are looking for it is hard to wade through 10 pages of search results for "light" or you just get one page for "red lens" which doesn't have what I want.

What about the light bulb. Did get the cover off...and it didn't break (hoo-ray!!).

Going to try and find one at my local marine hardware store but not sure if this is a common bulb.

Don't see just the red lens. But the light comes with both. You might be able to find some red plastic and fabricate some sort of cover for that light???

I found and ordered the xenon bulb for my light. Probably find it for under $5 at my marine hardware store...

Also Amazon has Hella lights for a lot less than Catalina Direct. One can save a lot by doing a google search for the part they want.

and if you are at that, consider a LED bulb for it. If you are lucky, there will be a bulb that changes from white to red by just turning it on and off.

Are you asking about the bulb or the red lens? The bulb was very easy to find and replace.

Not sure about the red lens...Curt???

If anyone is still looking for the red lens for the map light you can order through West Marine - the Hella part number is 128922011. They are $1.29 each plus shipping of $7. You cannot buy directly from Hella and their distributor has a minimum order of $25.
