however, regarding the bonding scheme, I know somethign should be done, just not sure what. The 23 does have minimal electric - just nav lights, radio, cabin lights.
... I have a zinc on the outboard because it has an electric starter that is, of course, wired to the battery. I hasn't thought about a zinc for the hull as (for one thing) there is no place to mount one. The folks at Hunter didn't put one on at the factory.
*o --- Aweigh should be pretty well isolated from the salt water. After alot of work brightening the wing keel I put 2 coats of ospho/3coats of primocon/3 coats of VC Tar trying to isolate it from the wet ---no metal is immersed except when I lower the 5 hp Tohatsu and it's not grounded to the keel. I'm thinking of just getting one of those zink groupers. Battery/electrical system is not tied to keel bolts anyway. lightning ground consists of a split set of battery cables clamped to the shrouds. If I get zapped or my keel melts -- I'll try something different. Thanks for the inputjim
