Sailed this past Saturday. Work got in the way of the last awesome day here until spring on Sunday. Will be hauling out this coming Saturday. Will be about 25 degrees and some breeze. Not too shabby for Minnesota.

We had some heavy winds for the past few days. Dead calm today. It's winter here, too. Storms or calm, no in between, or just rarely. Going down today to install a new gasket on our 30 year old Gray portlight. I got the gasket from the great store on this website, with Dave G's help I got the right part and at the right price. Use this store, they support this forum.

Wish I was.

Today it is 79° and sunny with a 15mph easterly breeze, and I'm stuck at work.

Chilly here, around mid to upper 50s, but sunny.
I'm in the midst of scrapping all the steel I've been collecting for the last 2 years or so.

Edit- I may have enough metals laying around here to pay for that haul out!

Just got back in the slip after a couple of hours out on the lake. Temps in the low 60s, wind 12 kts gusting to low 20s while waiting for the cold front due tomorrow bringing heavy rain and higher winds.

Not today but soon. Planning a few days leaving deltaville, va. Heading south, out over the bay bridge tunnel, back across the other tunnel and up the James river to haul out for the winter. Weather looks good for a Sunday launch. Hope to arrive Wednesday near Richmond.

We had a high of 86F with a 15 knot easterly breeze. With winter tides and the wind flow emptying the Bay precluding our leaving the dock before 2:30 PM we had to wait but got out there in Tampa Bay and saw speeds of 6.5knots with a brief stint at 7.2 knots. Made it in around 5:30 PM with a beautiful sunset behind us.

Not today, but we went out Sunday for the last sail of the year (the boat will be hauled next week). It was a very nice day, sunny, maybe as high as 60 degrees, a steady 5 to 10 knots of wind that increased to a steady 10 with some gusts as the day went on. The big challenge on the Chesapeake was the extra thin water brought on by the previous couple of days of strong winds from the northwest, which pushed a lot of water out of the bay. I only had inches of water under the keel in my slip because we were taking off only an hour and a half before low tide. We just made it out and had a great day--a fitting end to the season.
