I think I'll wait until they come down in price a bit. I'm a bit surprised they don't mention shipping containers but they are probably more difficult to pick out. Swimmers and small boats are interesting however likely not all that frequent "offshore" as the marketing implies this is aimed at. Bigger boats will be on radar before OSCAR picks them out and "large vessels" will show up on AIS. I'm not sure I see the value. Maybe in congested waters although it doesn't say how many targets are tracked at once.

I've often thought it would be a good idea to have a camera at the mast head that I could see on my phone. I just didn't expect to to cost over $10k. Maybe a $100 security camera would work for me.
