Do not see that clause in my policy

Bill, I have Boat/US for my marine insurance on my Hunter 340. There are exclusions for war and governmental seizure but not for terrorism / anti-terrorism.

NO!!!

Acts of war are not cover in ANY of your standard policies, that include homeowners!

Thanks guys, looks like this may be the new (+)

version of the "acts of war" exclusions. This was not part of our policy on our previous boat, but when we secured insurance for our soon-to-be-our boat, it included a "Terrorism Exclusion Endorsement." It's interesting wording.. "...excludes any loss...arising from: terrorism; and/or steps taken to prevent, suppress, control, or reduce the consequences of any actual, attempted, anticipated, threatened, suspected or perceived terrorism. Interesting...

You will see it on all Property forms

From now on you will see this exclusion on all policies that cover property of any kind. It broadens the war exclusion to include any terrorist act causing a loss as long as the Fed. deems it a terror treat/act.

new fed laws

enacted after 9/11 dictate the exclusion or you pay an additional premium for the coverage. it is your choice although and your agent should have you sign a form showing it was offered to you and you rejected it.
