Are all Capri 16.5 boats as tender as mine?

Just purchased new Capri 16.5 Center Board model. a) With the board down, stepping on the foredeck will start to roll her severely and am convinced she will go over if I do not get to midship. b) A very moderate gust backwinded the jib; I popped the main but could not get to the jib sheet quickly enough and the boat went over. I could not get to the centerboard quickly enough and she rolled upside down within a matter of 20 seconds. I have never owned such a tender boat. 1) Are all Capri 16.5's this tender or does mine have a manufacturing defect? 2) How many people does it take to right an upside down 16.5 even after all sheets are popped and the main pulled back "up" to the boom? Two of ous could not get her further than more than just about vertical (I.e.-centergoard horizontal). Wish I had my O'Day 17 back. Comments? Malcolm

join the Capri 16.5 Catalina Association, and get all their historical information published in the Mainsheet magazine, and/or google Capri 16.5 and find info, including a potential website for their owners. Yup, light boats like that are tipsy. Won't ask about your weight. :)
