Arch for Hunter 40 Legend

So I'm seriously considering installing an arch at the stern end to serve two purposes.
1) as a place to mount solar panels.
2) as a lift point for lifting a small dingy out of the water and securing it to the stern.

Here is a really really crude sketch.

I'm figuring the dingy will weigh ~100lbs or less. I would like to do this buy mounting the arch using the toe rail and the existing bolt holes that clamp the toe rail and the deck to the hull, because I hate drilling holes in perfectly good boat surfaces. The dingy load would be split between the arch and 2 mount points on the stern.
I'd really love some feedback on this and especially pictures from those of you who have added an arch to your boats. I dont have the fancy stern that the newer hunters have with a swim platform etc, just a flat surface.
I know that alot of people add arches to move the traveler car out of the way of the hatch but that is way more load and engineering and I dont mind the current in cockpit mounting of the traveler.
Thanks in advance!!

I am no engineer, but from the sketch, it looks like you will have too much leverage on the arch, and too little support if it is just bolted to the toe rail. You need some supports or something to strengthen that attachment point.

Setting some blocks on the stern to hold the bottom of the dingy makes good sense. Reduces weight on the arch and keeps the dingy from “swinging“ around under way.

The davits on my boat are attached in a fitting on the coming at the bottom, and bolted to the stern rail pulpit a ways up. If it was just using the bottom fitting, I think it would break (something)...

Well its definitely not a structural drawing! It would certainly not just be two line thin pieces of stainless that only attached with one screw to the toe rail. So this is really a general concept and I am hoping that someone will stumble upon this and post "My Hunter 40 arch is exactly like that" and send a picture of something functional.
Thanks for the Klacko link. Seems like they have galleries for every mid price point boat company but Hunter... :(

Do check with Atlantic Towers. I installed one of theirs a couple years ago and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product and relative ease that it installed. Buddy and I did the entire install in two afternoons.

Any chance you have pics and if I may ask, what did the arch cost you? Im currently talking with a guy on facebook who has designed something very close to what I want. The rear portion of the arch bolts to the transom and Im pretty sure that carries most of the load. He had the whole thing built and installed for about $4200.

I don't remember exactly the dollars, but think it was around 1200 - 1400. No pics at home. But it is exactly like the one above on a Hunter 46.
