I once posted a thread asking for help here, and Bill Roosa asked for a picture and maybe I would get some response
I am trying to do it now: cannot find anything on it, because the manual I got was so wet that the pages were stuck together
I know, I know, it's an old model, but why not put it to use? I am building a whole navigation set up, so please help...

We had something like that on our C25. What do you need to know? Do you have a transducer already in for it? Fiddle around with the three knobs, gain, volume and probably squelch, and the ring runs around and flashes at the depth reading.

Yeah, I have a transducer somewhere that came with it... need to look for it... can it be installed inside the boat?

Why not give it a try? How to do it has been discussed here many times.

I had one like yours and the PO installed it in an abs pipe epoxied to the inside of the hull. It worked perfectly. The abs pipe was filled with mineral oil and capped with a screw-in plug. All off the shelf items. Good luck and I hope it works for you.

If you enquire of the right sources you may find that the transducer is similar to those being used with current units. Someone told me once that most of them operate at 52 or 55 mHz (I think) and use twisted-pair cable. If you know the correct info than any compatible combination can be used. The same goes for most basic up-the-mast stuff like anenometer cupwheels.

You may also mount some transducers directly to the hull in the bilge using epoxy without all the oil in the pipe. Check and see which adhesives work with the transducer you intend to use. I do know most of the cheap fishing units (Humminbird, FishEye) claim their transom-mount transducers will also glue inside the hull. Get in touch with the makers' techies and ask.

I cannot find the tranducer, don't recall if it came with one or not; is there any way of getting another one?
Can you give more details of the ABS pipe with oil, etc?
