My 10 year old Apelco VHF radio that came with my boat has finally died. Has anyone else been able to find a replacement that will fit in the same place on the pedestal?
I replaced my factory VHF with a DSC unit from West Marine. It was a direct replacement. I installed it without removing the console/helm cover. Tough to get to the locking screws, but it can be done.
