hose? I'm putting in an MSD and this stuff is so stiff I can't slip it over the barbed ends of the fittings. I've tried soap and heat and I'm out of ideas. I'm afraid I'm going to break the fittings (pumpout is marlon) trying to get it on. I have the Sanipotty end, the deck fitting and one 90* to do. Thanks for your help.

Are you sure you warmed the hose enough?

It has to be warm enough to soften it, but not hot enough to damage it....which is why I recommend a blow dryer instead of hot water or a heat gun. It does take patience. K-Y works a lot better than dish soap as a lubricant. Smear it liberally on the fitting and the inside of the hose.

heat gun

I'm not dumb enough to disagree with Peggie but if you are judicious with the use of a heat gun on a low setting, I've found it to be effective when the blow dryer was not

soak it in boiling water

This will heat the hose more evenly and prevent burning. Tim R.

Forget the hose, use PVC pipe

The overpriced hose may last a few years. PVC pipe will last decades for a small fraction of the cost
