Anyone try these Humminbird Piranha 2 Fishfinder?

I am thinking of purchasing this make and model fish finder. I intend to use it as a depth finder that also shows me the conture of the bottom I am over. I am not a big angular and would only use it while sailing. Any comments negitive or positive would be helpful. Also I plan to mount it forward of the keel inside a PVC tube that is mounted with silicone and mineral oil in the tube with the transducer. anycomments would be appreciated. Sounds like a better idea than a depth finder???

I was wondering the same thing. It seems that a fishfinder would provide a bigger bang for about the same bucks. I have a very old depthfinder which I was thinking about replacing with Hummingbird unit (link below) for about $99. Is there any disadvantage to this?
