Anyone replace a raw water pump assembly on a Yanmar 1gm? Anything I should look out for ? Is the new pump impleller tip and gasket greased ? Does the pump come with the o-ring between the pump and the engine ? Appreciate the help as always. Keith

Impeller only or Whole Pump?
Ken, My experience is in regard to the Impeller. No, the impeller is not greased. the Seloc manual recommends using olive oil as a lubricant to help in installation and the first few minutes of operation. There is a paper gasket on the 1GM that I had to purchase separately. Ol'Dave

Water pump
I have the same model & year boat. I replaced my water pump a few years ago. It was straight forward. I took pulley off to make life easier. As I recall, pump came with gaskets, but not the impeller. I put grease on gaskets and bolts. No leaks, no problems, rebulit old pump for spare, and continued down list of repairs to do.
