I've been living in Japan for 3 years and decided I needed to quit sulking about selling my Catalina before moving here and go and buy another boat. What I found was it is nearly impossible to buy a sailboat in Japan if you are not fluent in Japanese, and well, Japanese. After trying unsuccesfully for months on my own, I found a boat broker. Within two weeks he found me a beautiful Yamaha 30. I've had her for only 2 weeks now, but I've had her out almost daily and it is an amazing boat. If you are interested in buying a Yamaha I can direct you to the man I used. I checked with him, and he does arrange freight or will hire a crew to move boats to the west coast of the US.
