...but this one looks like alot of work. Usually when ebay uses adjectives such as "fair" throughout the entire description you're getting into something that isn't a turn the key type of operation...obviously. Not only that but without a survey your inviting more unforseen problems which equal more start up costs. No mention of a trailer also limits its versatility, and by the way...where's the keel?; this model came as a fixed wing in 87. Hopefully the swing keel is down there somewhere.

Hey gang, I know it's been a while, but I still check in from time to time... If you look at the listing at e-Bay, there's a link with more pictures of the boat. I was studying them carefully to see if it was my old H23 (and it isn't - Whew!). This one looks like it needs somewhat more than a little love. However, the current bid ($1000) seems reasonable, for its condition-- It could be brought back to life with a new set of sails, maybe some rigging, a complete bottom job, and a LOT of elbow grease...--Jon BastienBoatless in Germany

I was kinda thinking someone may need a parts boat. With no motor or trailer it might be a wash between it and buying a boat all set to go.The company auctioning it off does primarly insurance salvages and if anything underates it's listings. I suspect it was abandoned at a marina and is being salvaged for it's slip fees.We are at Eglin now if you get a TDY this way holler and I'll try to make sure you get a chance to get some sail time in.

How's life in Germany? Things here are pretty much the same except I moved the boat out to the coast, so I'm in the salt now. Your standing invitation is still good, so if you're ever anywhere in central Florida, give me a holler. At the very least I'll buy you an ice-cold Red Stripe.
