Anyone know where these are made?

I have always hated the stanchions on my 40 legend.

Besides the fact that they really like to bite your toes, they seem like unnecessary holes in boat. for the longest time I have been thinking about re-enforcing the legs by cutting access panels from the inside, and placing some backing wood under their mount point with bolts, not screws. Then I saw these.

Any idea where these come from? Who made them?

Looks like a custom fabrication...............might check with a rigging shop or stainless steel/aluminum fabrication shop to make them OR check with these guys:

HunterOwners.com makes them, both the stanchion and the base. Go to HunterOwners.com store and do a search at the top for "stanchion" (be sure to check the Hunter parts button). They will both come up.

Yup.. standard on my 1985 H-34.. I like the "no holes in the deck" thing..
