Anyone know of Monogram Industries marine toilets?

HiI have a 1972 O'Day 23'. I bought the boat recently and I see that I have the marine toilet I have is from Monogram Industries Inc. out of Los Angeles, CA. Anyone have a clue about the operation, maintenance, replacement items for that marine toilet?It's got a small holding tank underneath, water and pump-out lines to the startboard side of the boat. But no clue on best chemicals to use to clean, sanitize, let alone procedures of how to pump-outs work. *Laughing* hey if I'm gonna use it while sailing, I wanna keep it from smelling like an outhouse in the wild wild west .*LOL* not good when I'm trying to coax wife on board, ya know?anyone have a clue about Monogram, let me know! Porta-potty

I'd get rid of the whole mess and get a good porta-potty. Be sure to figure some way to fasten it down but still removable. I went that route 25 yrs ago and am still satisfied.

Hi,Thanks..I'm contemplating that actually. it is secured to the deck of the cabin. (so that through out my idea that it was a porta-potti). just isn't fun when I don't have any operation placards, books, manuals or the like about this wonderful little toilet. thanksMark
