Any of you New Orleans area guys know what happened to this boat. It's sitting on the bottom, very close to that little mickey mouse ramp, over behind Ft.Piike.

Don't know what happened, but that sure is a lot of money sitting on the bottom of the bay! Will be interesting to hear what actually happened to it if it ever is revealed. I had something similar happen, in my father in laws Donzi down in Key Largo.. nice boat, dual big block Chevy engines, jet drive, etc.. Blew out the exhaust and the boat started filling up with water faster than we could get it out. Fortunately, we made it to a dock where we could tie it off and keep it from a fate like above.

This area was ravaged by Katrina, and I suspect those were pilings for a dock or pier, beside the boat ramp. Only thing that comes to mind is this channel is pretty narrow coming through there, and very shalllow if you get out of it,

That's one of those new boat designs for wake boarders. It takes on water ballast to increase weight so that it makes one helluva wake to get launched with.
