He was almost manic with his postings about buying a boat for about two weeks. Then in the "part 3 " thread we heard he was going to buy a 27 footer and now......... silence? Did he buy a boat? Does anyone know what happened to him? I'd like to know the outcome of his story.

Why would he ever respond to anything on this site? Some of the responses to his questions were quite rude.
He may be smarter than he appeared and has moved off to a more civil site!

I think over all he got some good advice from many members here. Sure there were those who took it personal, and made some rather insulting remarks, but overall I think he came out better than some in the past have.. (Patrick).
Maybe he was insulted and left and if that is the case it's too bad because some of us hung in there with him.

That really bugs me and I hate to see it happen but there is nothing I can do about it as I don't control this site. If I did the crappy comments would be deleted before postin. Regardless of what some listers may think, over the many years I have been conductiong this Forum, I think we are very cival. Myself, Alan, Stu and a few others have had to take a few rations of crap but we are big boys and are more than willing to dish it back.
Here's the deal. This Forum is for begginers to intermediates and to help them become better sailors. Just remember what it was like when you were learning to sail and how frustrating it was. Put yourself in their place. If this site was designed for experts sailors I would shut it dowm. I hate talking to those people. I just love the beginners and intermediates and I don't want them to go through what I had to in order to learn how to sail a sily sailboat.
