Hi - I'm hoping to buy a 10 foot aluminum dinghy, was hoping I could get someone to haul it aboard and bring it down to VA, rather than do the 700 mile drive up there - and back. Can anyone help?

Scott - I used to boat out of P'tang. Which marina you in? I was at Dutchman's.
Tim - there are no aluminum dinghies of that size to be found on the east coast for sale - believe me, if there were, I'd be on it.

btw, thanks for listing that Sweetwater Cruising site - I've not seen it before and really enjoyed it.
Doug is out of Midland Bay Sailing Club and up until recently kept a fairly updated site. He's writing another book so has had to take a break for that.
Lots of good info on all the Great Lakes.
Doug's an interesting writer, that's for sure. Btw, thanks to those who sent me info on that other aluminum 10 footer, but that's a jon boat, I'm looking for a v-hull - and those really are scarce.
