I'm looking for any available moorage or sublease slips in the Seattle area (Edmonds, Shilshole, Elliott Bay, Lake Union, Lake Washington) and was wondering if anyone on here is planning a trip for the summer and open to subleasing their spot? I have a 27' sailboat that I'm finishing up restoring and should be done by late May/early June. If this type of posting is not allowed on here please let me know but I figured I'd reach out to the forums since all the marinas seem to be booked in the area. Thanks!

My two cents.......call all the marinas for a slip and I would not be surprised if you do not find one. That is what I do. Please let us know what you find.

Most here will likely refer you to the assortment of marinas in the area you want, contact them and find out what they have available. Most public marinas do not allow subleasing. Best to contact them directly in order to obtain the straight scoop.

@npaulay the ”call the marina“ suggestion is a good one. When I planned my 360 of VancouverIsle for 2020 I called the marina office and placed my slip on their list “For Sublet”. Then when someone was looking for a slip the marina staff would give the person the names and numbers to call.
I got several calls, but Covid spoiled the opportunity for my cruise and their desire to use the slip. Bad Covid.

Thanks everyone - I had originally called every Marina on Lake Union and they were all full or wanted a 12month lease. Sounds like Shilshole has subleases available so trying to go that route!
