Any ideas on a solar charger for a portable bilge pump for mooring a small sailboat?

oday widgeon acton, me
I have a 12' Oday Widgeon on a mooring on a lake. I am trying to think of different ways to make a small bilge pump set up that I could put it in the boat when I leave after the weekend. I bought a small Rule automatic pump and I am going to get a small storage battery, maybe motorcycle. This can go into a waterproof case and sit in the cockpit, or I can put it in the forward storage area. Is there a small solar battery charger that is waterproof that I could leave on the foredeck to charge the battery?

Brainstorming is great!

Thanks,

Wayne

This is what I use to keep the battery charged on my Oday 22. 5W solar panel mounted via 4 snaps on hatch allowing the panel to be removed and stowed when sailing. The "legs" are rubber stoppers allowing some flexibility so the flat panel can be mounted to a curved surface. Stainless screws hold the snaps and the panel to the legs. Bought the panel from newegg.com for $49.00. Same panel at West Marine $79.00

A number of us have had good luck with the VW solar panels on e-bay. Don't pay more than $25 for one. I use one to run a couple of 12V computer muffin fans on my boat. I also have one on an old car that keeps the battery charged year round. They are weather proof and have a built in controller. You can hook them up to the motorcycle battery quite easily.
