any one use one of these guys and like them? I'm looking at the Windline railmount anchor mount for a danforth. Sick of hauling the anchor from the cockpit up to the bow. Thanks

they work fine!

Fred: They work fine. Be sure to have some line or bungee cords to secure the stock! How are you going to store the chain and line on the bow?

Keeping in Lazarette locker

Steve, thought I'd keep the line unattached with a shackle and keep it in a lazarrette locker where the anchor is currently kept. Beats hauling the anchor with rode. Just wanted to make sure it holds that anchor good and doesn't interfere with tacks and such.

Milk Crate

I just bought the Windline anchor mount but I have yet to attach it to my bow pulpit and try it. presantly I keep 200' of rode with 20' of chain in a plastic milk crate in my lazarette next to the anchor, permenantly attached with a shackle ready to be deployed off the stearn in an emergency. But I am heading up the Sacramento Delta and will be Anchoring a lot so I figured I'd try the pulpit mount. I will just move the milk crate to the foredeck and connect with the shackle when I am ready to drop the hook. It will beat lugging the anchor every time, especially when it is all full of mud. I may also get one for the stern pulpit if I find the need. have fun, Dave
