On a downwind run or even on a broad reach I find the mainsail lays against the spreaders on the 23.5. Does anyone have thoughts to share on preventing chafing of the sail from the spreaders? I have thought of sail tape to beef up the sail where it contacts the spreaders but before I do that I thought I'd draw on other people's experiences.

Spreader Patches

The most common spreader anti chafe are spreader patches. Have your sail maker or a local sail loft sew patches on to your main sail.
