This is what the a/c install looks like from the outside with the hatch door closed. Of course it's open during when running the a/c.

Nice hatch but, what kind of A/C?
Location is not clear but inclinometer would indicate foot of the companionway. Cannot see the need for a hatch unless it is an air cooled unit. How about condensation? Hope you don't get a wave into your cockpit.

Oops, had not seen previous posting.
Nice clean installation but unless the unit slides back how do you deal with condensation? How often do you check the oil on the engine?

The a/c is slanted and the drain runs into the shower bilge which runs into the main bilge. The a/c is air cooled and the hatch is well gasketed. The a/c is a Sears 5100 btu window unit that can be run by my 1000w Honda generator and easily on my 30amp shorepower. I had to do some ductworking to provide a fresh air input to the condenser thru the cockpit lazarette.
