Hello David

I am mounting the VHF in the wall of the head. So as you go down the companion way it is at your left. I will need to make a similar housing for the VHF because I see that it will not want to protrude into the heads so as to annoy those wanting to use the toilet. I figure that it will be mounted so that half of the radio sticks out into the cabin and the other half into the heads. Hope to get this under way in the next few days or so so shall post a photo later.

That was my first choice - but I didn't want the protrusion into the head. Now I'm considering putting it in the galley wall forward of the sink. I have a WHAM unit so don't need access to the actual radio. I'll be eager to see yours when it's done. Should be really nice... based on how well your stereo install went.
