Another Thursday race, another abandonment

The wind has been non-existent for racing lately. 4 straight abandonment's, 3 Thursdays and a Saturday. At least crew made the best of it and went for a swim in the nasty heat and humidity. Even swam over to a fellow 235 for a G & T. Making the best of it......

We did get some spinnaker practice in before the breeze went away completely.

Sounds familiar. In our 10 race spring series very few boats finished more that 5 or 6 races due to light winds. So far in our summer series the first two races were abandoned, one for lack of wind and one for thunderstorms. Last night's race finally had some finishers despite light and variable winds, although the turn-out was also light and there were a few DNF's. I figure at some point we're owed some better conditions.

Nice to see the B235s again. The picture reminds me of a mod I made: replace that stern portlight with a black opening port. Beckson, probably PO8RD-BS-20, 150$ ? That really gave some air to sleep in comfort. Easy/highy recommended!
