I have been going over my boat and all the extra rigging parts and pieces that came in a tool box with it. I will attatch the head of my asym spinnaker to a halyard which is going through a swivel block on masthead bail. Then the tack to what? Use an atn tacker? Neil Pryde parrel balls? Then run the tackline down through another swivel block near my roller furler drum? Does that sound correct? Any other way? I do not own a tacker, or a parrel ball apparatus. And then if I did use atn tacker what will that do to my headsail and side loading the forestay?

FWIW,This is how I'd do it. First to avoid halyard chafe on the forestay, I'd lead the hauling part forward along the stay to a deck block at the stemhead then to wherever it will be secured. (Alternatively, install a fairlead where the halyard passes by the forestay). Second, tack to the bow pulpit with a penant to the stemhead to take the loading. Jibe the spinnaker around the forestay with long sheets. Finally, if you sail short handed or in dusty weather, a spinnaker sock is really handy.

Good Luck, Geohan
