another hin question

So I'm looking at this hunter forsale and ask the broker to send me the HIN. He does and it's HUN31132M840. I've been looking at other posts and from what i see there shouldn't be any letter "M" in the HIN. So I'm I just decipering this wrong? Can anyone tell me what size and year, month this hunter was built?thanks for all the helphopfully a hunter owner soon!!Don

HIN again

You don't give the year of the boat. It was not until 1972 that the HIN was standardized. There was a slight modification that toook place in 1984. I'd ask your broker to look again.A refresher on the HIN at this link: http://kobernus.com/hunter260/hin/HIN.html

The boat is a 1984. I thought that you would be able to tell from the hin the year and the month that it was built. I went to the link you suggested and it doesn't show any "m" months.So the broker must have gotten the hin wrongDon
