Yesterday was too nice to be working on the inside of the boat. Alas I still have that vanity project to finish. The next step was fitting the new top to see where to cut the sink hole. The picture is the result. The fiberglass is very thick and took three good carbide Roto-Zip blades to do the job. What a mess. I think I am done inside. Also see my new holding tank gauge in another post.

Uugh!

The length we go to and steps we take to keep the Admiral happy. And, that incorporates the first rule of boat ownership. If the Admiral is happy, everybody is happy.

*yks - that scares me!

Ed, what a big messy job! Sure hope it turns out as you expected. Please keep us posted, I might have nightmares over this one. I'm sure it going to be great.. just razzing you alittle. God speed on this one. David

Almost done.

One more to go. Picture that is. The next will be the last. When the mirror, the trim, and the bungs are all replaced. And the "wallpaper" on the right side is painted. Two things that I should have done. A template of cardboard would have saved me an extra trip to the boat. I only measured and that surface is not even close to square. And I should have used 1/2" plywood instead of 1/4". The surface is also not flat. Note the yellow streak just below the front edge of the sink. I have lots of that on my boat. It is from a previous owner's varnishing. Fortunately it comes right off with a little wet sanding with 800 grit.
