Most people agree (I would think) installing "bearing-buddies" is a good investment. Can they be installed on the H26 trailer that has the grease fitting on the end of the axle? Would you remove that fitting? Thanks

No!!!!!!!

Mike; You have what some call is an aqua lube axle. Simply, the grease fitting on the end of the axle shoots grease through the axle to the back and then forward. You should have a dust cap with a rubber shield on the end of the axle. All buddy bearings are is a simply put a dust cap with a grease fitting. If you put a Buddy bearing on over an aqua lube style axle with the grease fitting at the end of the axle, you defeat the purpose of greasing the axle. Crazy Dave

Blow out

I have the aqua lube axle and I think??? it is working. However this past summer trailering on a hot (90 degree plus), both the rubber dust covers blew out. I think because of excess grease built up under the dust covers. Does anybody know where to get replacements. I have tried automotive stores and one RV place so far with no luck. Thanks for your help.

Are All H26 Trailers The Same?

A question for Dave C. or others -- Did 1994 H26 tandem axle trailers have this aqua lube system ? I can't check mine as it is in storage, but I don't think mine had a grease fitting, so I put on buddy bearings. No problem so far. Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks

Bill; Call Quality trailers at 800-521-2783 and they should be able to aadvise where you can get the dust cover and caps. I am set up but due to the forum,I cannnot reveal where I am located. Quality trailers is only a wholesaler. Ron, please remove your buddy bearing to see if you have a grease fitting inside. As I recall, the Hunter trailers were supplied with the aqua lube type bearings.
