This is one of my first post here... hope it all works. I'm now the owner of a 1973 22' O-day sailboat, being a 40 year old sailboat I'm not expecting all sweetness and light. Which brings me to why I'm here... to call upon as needed those others who have been down this road before me. I'll be posting from time to time as I take inventory and assess just how close to the edge restoring this old girl will push me.

The O'Day 22 is a fun boat. You'll have a blast fixing her up. Check out my picture albums on this site by clicking on to the name "Trinkka." I have many mods that you may be able to use on your 22.

Congrats and good luck!

This will be my 4th season with my O'day 22, I love the boat. I had to replace the core under the mast step but that was an easy fix. everything else I did would be upgrades. this year I am adding roller furling and running all halyards back to the cockpit to make her easier to single hand. I love sailing my 22, she is a nice handling boat and I have spent most every weekend on her for the past 2 seasons. Good luck with yours!

Thanks for the input and good words for the 22' O-day. With luck and good working weather I hope to have her back in the water this summer. :)
