Annapolis Sailboat Show Sunday??

@lehighsail and I were at the boat show yesterday (Friday)

Late in the day we heard a rumor, from a boat dealer, that the show would be closed on Sunday due to the storm and that some dealers were trying to get their boats out later today.

I haven't found any confirmation on this as of this morning.

Can anybody going to the show today confirm one way or another?

We were there yesterday as well. When I spoke with one of the organizers and she expressed concern about the weather but didn't mention closing. I'm scheduled to lead a panel discussion on Sunday afternoon, if I hear any official I'll post it here.

As for getting boats out early, fat chance. Maybe a handful of the trailer sailers, but certainly not the big boats. The docks are built around the boats in a highly choreographed dance.

Just received this from my contact with the show at: 12N:

As of now, there is no change to the schedule. The boat show's meteorologist is keeping us updated and as of now, the show will open at 10am tomorrow. If anything changes, I will keep everyone posted.

Hi Dave, If I'd known you were there yesterday I'd have invited you to join us for lunch.

I did question the idea of how they would begin breaking down to get boats out. I've heard they do it quickly but..............
