I sail on Lake Ontario & 1000 islands. Weeds are a big problem, I haveinstalled a 35lb Delta with 125ft. chain & 150ft. nylon rode.I have the 20lb or so Danforth which Hunter supplied with the boat I'm not sure what a boat of this size would use it for. Anyway I'm looking for input as to what other ground tackle I should get. Same type, different, heavier etc to have on board so I can be in the same place when I wake up in the morning after a good blow.Thankyou.

Anchoring in Weeds

I have had experience with a CQR in weeds. If you allow enough time for the anchor to settle through the weeds before you begin to back down on it you will probably be more successful than with "normal" anchoring procedures.

Bugwala

The bugwala is without a doubt the ugliest anchor I've seen but it is supposed to hold well. Tried to find one for my 376 at the boat show but couldn't. Search the net and see
