My windlass is missing the central Friction cone (part#72). I am going to a machine shop to have one made.
1) Can ayone tell me the thickness
2) From the smears I see it was silicon bronze, can anyone verify the material?
Thank-you

I do not know, but suggest using same materials as Part# 76.

One last thought about the Friction core...
It seems to match Part #76 taper and used for less wear on rotation.

On a different note, can the windlass rotate in the opposite direction if the power cables are reversed and the unit doesn't include a solenoid? Many thanks.
