Last September 2001 I towed my Mac 26X down to the Okanagan Lake in British Columbia to find out about a mooring my son installed for me in front of his new dock at his beach property. My brother Don came up from Vancouver to go sailing with me for a few days.We used the first class boat ramp at Kelona, then had a beauitful sail all the way up the lake. We stopped to see the new mooring and then checked out his dock. The dock couldn't be better but the mooring was quite open. We then sailed up the lake as far as we could go and then returned to Ellison Point Park where they had moorings in a so called protected bay. We picked the mooring that look the best to be out of any wind.Than after bedding down for the night a strong wind developed and changed direction coming straight for us.
